Seniors & Youth Programs

Seniors Programs

Get paired up with an AHS youth or adult volunteer for both of these Seniors Programs and get to know historic Aurora. Play Victorian Era games together, or get hands-on with artifacts from the Hillary House collection. Explore local history through engaging activities and exchanging stories with other community members. Call or email us to book an outreach program for your group. All programs are designed to come to you!

Youth Mentorship Program

Back again for a second year, the Youth Mentorship Program is offered exclusively for youth in Grades 9 to 12! Happening on Tuesdays, biweekly, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Hillary House National Historic Site. Earn regular volunteer hours while learning about working in the arts and culture field, guided by our knowledgeable AHS Staff. Explore community hotspots together, learn basic transferable job skills, and work on a collaborative peer exhibition that will open at the end of the program in May 2024. Starting on February 6th, get passionate about your interests, showcase your talents, and develop your skills. The AHS is dedicated to providing safe, accessible, engaging and innovative programming. Sign up by January 31st 2024, but we recommend you register as soon as possible.
